Dashain Program in MUM, Tika in Iowa City

As I said today am going to write about the Dashain Program in Maharishi University of management (MUM) and Tika in different Nepalies of Iowa city…… This starts like i had a mid term exam of Network last Saturday …. Babal tension theyo exam ko … tara preparation chai thikai gareyae ko theyo ….. around 12 me and Madan went to give exam then went to Rajan’s apartment after exam cause we were planning to go Fairfield, IA to celebrate Dashain Program in MUM so after having lunch we started our journey to Fairfield…. It has been more then a month we have not been there after leaving college so there was kind of happiness, excitements and all ….. when we saw lots of corn fields…makkai bari then we are for sure that Fairfield is about to come…….. Hay mum Guys won’t forget those makkai bari…haha….we reached there around 6 PM so we directly went to SU theater where lots of new comer of MUM computer and MBA program were preparing for today’s Dashain Celebration… Me, Madan and Rajan came from West Des Moines, IA ….Bikram and Sanjeeta from Cedar Rapids, IA and were before we reached there cause they always come MUM for distance education exams….. So after I reached SU theater I asked Sanjeeta lets practice couple of times on the dance .. Same dance we had performed in Dashain in Iowa City.. so we did practice…. Bikram asked me to sing a song too … yha I do love to sing tara not sang yet in stage in front of others.. so I feel like this is a good opportunity for that… Thanks Bikram for that offer… haha the song goes like “ Jasho gara Jay Bhana Jata Sukai Laijau Malai ….

Yo maan ta mero Nepali ho….and so on…” me Sambit dai and other two MUM student were going to sing this song together so we practice couple of times… it went ok… and the song we perform went cool as our frens said… oh yha one thing we too got chance to have Nepalese food in Annapurna with lalmohan too… cool na…after having some food we went for the program… the mass in the theater for the celebration of Dashain was good tara pachi pachi around 30% of the mass left …may be program ali well organized na bhayae ra ke sequence namilayra… tara according to the one I had talk the program was cool… so the credits goes to the new comers of MUM too… Our dance went cool too and sabai lay tarif pani garyo….before that there was some technical problem.. tara it went well ……

at the end of the program we had a group dance in the stage where all nepalies dance in different songs…. It went something like dance party…

after it was late cause we had to go Iowa city to rest/ sleep we said bye to all there … I took pics with the KEC (Kathmandu Engineering College) students …Binu (Junior of KEC) and Salilu (of same Batch tara Computer)…

and about to leave for iowa city Biva dai (I call him mama..cause once he invited me for a dinner and at time I feel similar like I was asked by my Mama for nakhatya/ bojh) and bhauju asked us to come to there Home… so we went there and have some drinks (me cold drinks as I don’t drink) and khishi ko Bhutan… when it was around 12/ 1 PM we left Biva dai’s home and head ahead to Iowa City to Bikram’s sister apartment as it was empty cause they have been to Nepal last week… so immediately we reached there we slept…. Oh we wake up around 9 AM …all were trying to call home cause today was tika an important day of Dashain… kasai ko phone lagena… I send sms to my Brother and Runa… wishing them and telling about the problem why I can’t call… After a while I got a sms form Runa telling that she is online.. so I went online immediately and sosoososososo happy that I got chance to talk with her and see her through web cam…

before she was in Red… she look so cute, beautiful, gorgeous in Red … I fall on love with her again ….. then after she was not seen in web… oh she came in her new kurta of dashain she looks so cute… akhir GF kasko ho…haha… frens were feeling hungry so they asked to go Chinese restaurant for lunch and then planned to go Atma dai’s home for tike… so I said bye to Runa …maan nalage pani… I always want to be with her …talk with her… tara k garne frens haru karauna thalyo so I said her bye and we went to Chinese restaurant where I had lots of new dishes… Crab, sea foods… I too tested Frog leg that time… yeeeeeekkkkkkk…. Saab lay face bigare rahae ko theyo… Sanjeeta lay ta Bikram lai pahelai tharkai shakyae ko rahae cha telling not to eat that Frog leg….haha….then after I called Mani Dai (senior of Fairfield who put all MUM frens tika in 2063 went we were in MUM) for putting tika tara sad to know that he already left for Fairfield… any way we went to Atma dai’s home for tika… hamro ra arkako culture nai namildo rahae cha… we have to take something for tika… hamro ma pardaina theyo …any way we had to go accordingly… after tika at Atma dai we went for tika in Sanjay dai’s house then after Megraj dai house.. then finally at night we went to Bishwa’s house were we put tika and enjoy sing singing some song… Bishwo’s mom is a very good singer… she sang (“ Maan Paraune Hajar Bhetinchannnn…. Juni katne yautai huncha…and so on) when she was singing I was feeling each and every words and remembering her (Runa that time..) feel like crying … tara boys never cry… be brave Pradip… haha… then after we left for home (West des moines) cause it was already 7 PM and we have to talk rest cause bholi office janu theyo that time….. we too said bye to Bikram and Sanjeeta… on the way Home we stopped in a gas station for filling gas …that time Rajan and I went to the shop to take some drinks … went I entered the store all were looking at me surprisingly … later I remembered at I had lots of tika and jamara which is not usual to people here… baiman Rajan had already taken his tika out before he entered store… any way malai baal..... on the way home I feel like calling Runa so we had a chat an hour long chat in phone … me telling her about a dream I had seen that morning and …I had asked her to find where my parents are right no that I can talk with them and wish them …. When I reached home I called her again for which I came to know that all my parents are in Mamaghar at Bungamati… I called there and talked with all my family dad, mom, sis, bro,… and also uncle, aunt, cousins bro sis , grand ma and all…. After finishing talking with all I again didn’t fell like sleeping so I called Runa again…shared some of my feelings and aru aru… so after that I slept… bholi office ma nindra lagcha hola cause its around 1 AM when I slept……..

Dashain Program in Iowa City

Today am feeling so lazy …am in office right now… one thing click in my mind that lets write a blog…haha…tara what should I write… yha of course about Bijaya Dashami Celebration this year (2064 B.S. / 2007). Last week 13^th September we had a Dashain Gathering of all Nepalies of Iowa state, US. So for that I, Madan and Rajan went to Bikram’s apartment a day before after office… it was 2 hrs drive to Cedar Rapids, IA… we didn’t planned to be in Bikram’s apartment immediately cause he was going to pick his Vinaju from Maulene airport….. we planned to go to Kushum didi’s home (Kushum didi was the coordinator for the Dashain program in Iowa) because one of my fren Rajendra was there after his surgery of tumor on his spinal cord … when I heard about the news of his surgery I was so afraid and immediately called him from office tara his Wife Asha bhauju pick up the phone and everything is fine… after reaching Kushum didi’s house we talked with Rajendra about all … as Rajendra has Key of Bikram’s Apartment we get that and drive to Bikram’s who was on his way home from airport… we reached there about 1 A.M (13^th oct)… Bikram and Sanjeeta was in home at night around 2 AM so when they came we just had a chat for couple of minutes and slept… I wake up around 8 AM so that I can practice dance with Sanjeeta which we were going to present in the Dashain Celebration but sanjeeta was sleeping…she may be tired of all that bhag daud…We practice for the dance (which goes like “Mulgin Pari..Tarera Gandali…) … we forgot all the steps we had for that song a week before so we choose some other steps for the dance…so then after having Khaila and Bhaat (Chicken and Rice) made by Bikram we went to the theater where Dashain Celebration was going to take place…we practice there also couple of times … Any way the Dashain program was super cool …we forget some steps in the stage performance but we didn’t made the audience notice it by putting our own steps that time…haha…sounds funny….after all the dance program, music and all we had a dinner then after played Bingo… it was fun I also win one prize in it which recover my ticket fee for that game… after bingo we had a dance in randomly seleted song…babal nachiyo …had lots of fun….it was around 11 PM so we moved out side said Bye to all then was about to go… some plans made of going Digo dai of Cedar Rapids and have a “jam” so we went to Digo dai’s house had some food cause we were little hungry ..may be babal nacheko lay hola…so all started singing….Digo dai…Om ..Rajan, Me , Badri ..Kpil dai,.. Pujan, Bikram,… Sanjeeta… we all were there… at around 2 AM we returned cause Bikram had to leave his Sister and Vinaju to airport …they were travelling to Nepal so… we were sleeping …all tired… after Bikram came from airport he cooked Khaila again for us and we enjoyed that a lot.. then after we planed to return home…so tired of all …I, Rajan and Madan Returned home and slept immediately as we reached home…. This was all about Dashain Celebration in Iowa city…….about my heart Runa I missed her so much there kaas she was here … I did called her and tell all about all that happened today to her…. She said she too wants to be here soon … tara when when …..haha as usual I know sabra ka faal mitha hota hay bhancha tara lets see kasto huncha ................... next I will write about Dashain Celebration and Tika in Maharishi University and Iowa City a week after (20^th oct ma)….. haha to be continue….

I got new pics of my family and heart...

Hi frens yesterday my fren Madan returned form home (Nepal)... the time he went home i send some gifts for my family and heart (Runa) with him tara.. a single bag of mine full of gift was lost in the travel to Nepal... so sad... When he came here i was so worried thinking that the same thing of missing luggage might not happen again.. tara this i got my gifts... Mom/ family send me blankets.. some khattu...sweets.. paau...and many more ... She send me a key chain with a letter R marked on it ...said that she has one with P..one... yesterday night i went to pick my fren from DSM airport... when he was here he handed me my giftths... oh yha i too got 2 CDs, 1 from home and 1 from her full of pics... cool na..... i called her that night but she might be busy so didn't pick up the phone ....later on she send me sms saying that she is free now .. so i called her for couple of mins and told her that the photo i had posted one is is the one i like most.....haha am so funny i looked at her pics and family pics till 2PM (Family pics with my brother Pramod Sthapit in left most..yha look like junky haha.. long long hair... tara my brother is very sweet... mero kura yekdam mancha... i miss him a lot)... slept too late so...office ma ali alchi lagyo.... today i tried to call her tara phone lagena... i feel like kati dinn dinn call garne.. need some break... haha.... .. forgot to say that i had received couple of letter form her... letter ma k cha bhane.... its private... affai bhujhnu...

Its really hard to find proper words any way i came
